The Story Behind Prisoner Rights Legal Services
“The idea for the business was born out of a deeply personal experience. A close friend of mine was serving time in prison, and during his sentence, he faced significant challenges that highlighted serious gaps in the justice system. His rights were being overlooked, he wasn’t being considered for transfer to an open prison, nor was he being put forward for his parole hearing, despite being eligible.
What started as a personal mission quickly became a passion. I realised there was a real need for someone to bridge the gap, someone who could offer guidance, advocacy, and support to individuals who were being failed by the system. I found purpose in helping people who felt powerless, and I saw the potential to make a meaningful difference.
He reached out to me for help, knowing that the cost of hiring a solicitor was far beyond his means. I began researching, advocating, and navigating the system on his behalf. Through this process, I discovered not only how complex and inaccessible the system can be for those inside, but also how many others were facing similar injustices without support.
That’s when the idea for the business took shape. I wanted to create something that stood for fairness, accessibility, and empowerment. A service that could help people navigate the system without the financial burden of traditional legal routes. And so, the business was born, not just to help my friend, but to help many others like him.”
